History of TLC Crafts and Gifts
TLC Crafts and Gifts is owned by Carol and Marvin Conrad and was started 16 years ago. They specialize in unique, handmade
wood décor items as well as other collectibles. It’s not unusual to see TLC Crafts at central Ohio craft shows – their wood
ovals are their signature item and are easy to spot a mile away. The TLC storefront is easy to note with the concrete geese
out front – and don’t be surprised if you see them dressed up. We have people come from all over the U.S. and other countries
to purchase our handmade goose clothing. We even sent a set to Ireland!
Inside TLC Crafts you will find not only Carol & Marv’s creations, but nearly 30 vendors specializing in everything from
collectible figurines to many other craft items. It’s more than a “craft store” – it’s more like a gift shoppe where it’s nearly
impossible to walk out the door without a gift for someone, or yourself. And, of course, we offer free gift-wrapping with a
smile!
The building that has held TLC Crafts for the last 4 years has a rich Pickerington history as it housed the Kocher family from
1937 – 1943. Mr. Kocher purchased the original property for under $1630 from the Ohio Conference Association of the 7th
Day Adventist Church and started a barbershop here in 1939. Since then, Pickerington has seen this property house an
insurance company, a stained glass business (note the beautiful work on our doors and windows), a restaurant, and several
craft shops. We encourage you to experience TLC Crafts and our friendly staff waiting to assist you with your shopping needs
and pleasures!
